Indoor facilities have started to be regarded as an essential part of professional and amateur sports events, which provide a range of multiple benefits for athletes, teams, communities, as well as sports organizations.
The Sport Skills For Life Skills (SS4LS) indoor facility at Bellville Technical High School is modern and well equipped for cricketers to rehearse, and practice in readiness for competitions, thus placing them in a vantage position in their various disciplines. Western Province Cricket Association (WPCA) has been secured as an anchor tenant at the facility, with it also hosting Cricket South Africa (CSA) Talent Acceleration Program (TAP) camps.
In June 2024, prior to their tour to India, the Proteas Ladies had their batting camp at the facility. SS4LS also created diverse community engagement at the facility with clubs, schools and academies, often training together during the same time slots.
