Rowan Richards a much respected and admired UWC stalwart over the past 4 years has recently been offered a Franchise contract with the Titans.Rowan who has played a major role in the success of UWC cricket will be greatly missed by his university colleagues as he heads up north to start his Professional cricketing career. Rowan a left arm pace bowler, who has the ability to swing the ball both ways, has left a lasting impression at Udub’s as one of our real success stories. Rowan has just completed his BA (sres) degree and played an important role for the Western Province Amateur side as an opening bowler. Rowan’s last accolade for UWC was his Man of the Match performance in the 1 day final against Bellville at Newlands.
It has certainly been a pleasure being involved in Rowans growth as both cricketer and individual the past few years, and we are all positive that he will make a success at the Titans and we will continue to follow your career with much pride!!
